Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Growth, Creativity, and Achievements

2024 has been a transformative and rewarding year, filled with creativity, collaboration, and significant professional milestones. From groundbreaking projects to inspiring collaborations, here are some highlights:

Music and International Collaborations

  • Clues of Reality: Early 2024 began with creative sessions and recording, collaborating with musicians from Argentina, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, the USA, France, and Greece.

  • Lead: Composed the music for this short film by Henrik Summanen and Sofia Berg, featuring a clever and intriguing script in English.

  • Branden: Released this single featuring Daniel Reid on alto saxophone, composed in memory of the victims of the Tirzitis Fire tragedy. This deeply personal and moving piece was played at the funeral, with the melody coming to me almost instantly upon being asked to create it.

  • Themes Retold: Produced this album, featuring reimagined arrangements of some of my most iconic film and TV scores, performed by a total of 176 talented musicians.

  • On All Fours: Composed an intro/interlude for the Belgian metal band.

  • The Umbra City Vol. 1: Created six tracks for this haunting album blending orchestral and electronic elements, exploring dystopian and gothic themes.

  • Portents: Began scoring this horror short, delving into evocative storytelling through music.

Film and Production Projects

  • Tulpa Creatives: Continued as the CEO, executive producer & Composer, contributing significantly to the development of our ambitious film slate.

  • Göta Film Collaboration: Worked with Daniel Lägersten on an exciting yet confidential project that marks a new chapter for Tulpa Creatives.

  • Tiger Spirit: Joined this fully funded martial arts action film by Titus Paar as a composer, with production set to begin in 2025.

  • FrameSage: Helped establish this company, which now manages the film investment tool. As Chairman of the Board, I played a pivotal role in solidifying its foundation.

  • Kulturbryggan Grant: Tulpa Creatives received this prestigious grant from Kulturbryggan which is a part of the Swedish Arts Grants Committee in December 2024, further cementing our reputation as a forward-thinking production company.

Research and Study

  • Financial Viability and Investment Potential of Swedish Cinema (1965–2024): Authored this comprehensive study. This study offers a detailed exploration of the financial performance, audience alignment, and cultural impact of Swedish theatrical film releases between 1965 and 2024. Analyzing 1,000 commercially targeted films out of a total of 2,123 releases, it examines return on investment (ROI) trends, genre dynamics, and global market comparisons to uncover actionable insights for industry growth. The Study will be released early 2025.

Writing and Creative Endeavors

  • Gibraltar: Advanced this suspense novel, based on a Tulpa Creatives TV series concept. Now in its third draft, the novel builds a rich world and expands the narrative, with plans for release in 2025.

Podcast and Media Outreach

  • Filmbranschpodden: Resumed hosting, with Amir Noghabai joining as co-producer. The podcast reached an impressive milestone of 1 million unique listens in August.

Licensed Album with AMG Scandinavia

My role was composer of 6 tracks and A&R and mixer also for 6 more tracks which were composed by Isabella Le Gall Bengtsson and Alice Petz.

Nordic Film Music Days

  • Honored to be one of five Swedish film composers selected for the prestigious Nordic Film Music Days program, running parallel to Berlinale 2025.
