I am happy to share that my podcast Filmbranschpodden is in full swing with season 3.
With an average of 37,500 unique listeners per episode, and the most popular episodes nearing 70,000 listeners, Filmbranschpodden has cemented itself as the premier film industry podcast in the Nordics. Now, with Season 3 in full swing, the podcast continues to bring insightful conversations with some of the most influential figures in the industry.
After a series of Autumn Special Episodes, including a unique episode where I, Simon Kölle, was interviewed by Amir Noghabai and Lisa Widén, as well as a recap of Season 2's 15 episodes, we officially launched Season 3 with an exciting lineup of guests:
🎞️ Episode 1 – Lars Gustafson We kicked off the season with renowned film editor Lars Gustafson, who has been working in Austin, Texas for several years, shaping international film projects with his expertise.
🎬 Episode 2 – Titus Paar A punk-rock director with an eclectic and exciting career, Titus Paar has worked in Hollywood, directed thrilling documentaries and short films, and earned the endorsement of John Carpenter, along with over 50 international awards.
🎞️ Episode 3 – Anna Knochenhauer Known as the mastermind of post-production in Sweden, Anna Knochenhauer is behind some of the country's most ambitious projects. As a highly sought-after expert, she shared valuable insights into the world of post-production and problem-solving at the highest level.
🎭 Episode 4 – Robert BengtssonAn award-winning actor, action specialist, and musical theatre star, Robert Bengtsson discussed his versatile career, the differences between film and stage acting, and the art of preparing for action-heavy roles.
📺 Episode 5 – Johanna Gårdare The Head of Drama at SVT, Johanna Gårdare, offered a rare and fascinating look into how the Nordic region’s largest TV channel approaches drama production. She also shared her insights on how she successfully made SVT Barn a European leader in children's content.
🤖 Episode 6 – AI & the Future of FilmmakingThe most recent episode (at the time of writing) explored the impact of AI on the film industry. Billy Boman, a rockstar in AI-generated visuals, and Micke "Mikeadelica" Gustafsson, a director with over 400 music videos and countless commercial productions, discussed the fusion of AI, filmmaking, and hybrid productions in an intense, fast-paced episode.
